HOUSE WARRANTY
East Coast Truck and Bus Centre will cover 100% of repair costs of "roadworthy" items and any "major" repairs on a 50 - 50 basis for thirty (30) days from the date of delivery. Repairs will be carried out in one of the East Coast Group's approved workshops, unless approval is given to do otherwise. "Major" could be construed as engine, gearbox, diff etc. We will cover "simple" items, at reasonable costs, (most of the time), if the vehicle is returned to these premises within the 30 days.
As is our normal practice, when vehicles will need to be registered away from these premises, should any item fail its mechanical check by the relevant State Government Transport Department, or equivalent, East Coast Commercials agrees to bear the cost of making good the defect, providing a defect notice is issued. It should be noted that a defect does not constitute items such as exhaust placement etc. which may vary from state to state, or modifications approved in Queensland. Only "defected" items will be compensated and no other (unless by prior arrangement).
It is the buyer's responsibility to ascertain that any inclusions suit the purpose of purchase and that those inclusions meet any regulations that apply to that purpose, and occupational health & safety requirements, before operating them.
BALANCE OF MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY
Many of our vehicles have some portion of the original manufacturer's warranty applicable. These factory backed warranties cover workmanship and materials, the engine, transmission, clutch, interior and exterior components. We will advise you, at time of purchase, of the warranty remaining (See also Extended Warranties, next).
LIMITED 12 AND 36 MONTH TRUCK WARRANTIES
One and three-year warranties are available for purchase through ELITE WARRANTY GROUP. Most of our vehicles, from light to medium trucks and bogie drives, meet the criteria required by Elite and their products are now sold through major dealers in second-hand trucks throughout Australia.
